Meet Nayelli

Nayelli is a Signal Hill resident and a longtime Long Beach Transit (LBT) customer who grew up riding with her sisters and grandparents to get around Long Beach during the summers. 

While she isn’t an everyday rider anymore, she still enjoys riding LBT from time to time. “I grew up on the bus and while I have a car now, I still take it for smaller trips with my grandma,” shared Nayelli. “Sometimes my boyfriend and I will actually take the bus out to explore Long Beach for date nights.” 

Nayelli started riding LBT more regularly in high school and credits the bus with giving her more freedom. “I definitely encourage any high school or college students to consider riding the bus,” shared Nayelli. “It definitely beats waiting for a ride from your friend or parents. Because I was comfortable on the bus, I was able to start working in high school and it really helped grow my independence.” 

In her free time, you’ll find Nayelli spending time with her family, working on arts and crafts, or walking her dog around Long Beach.
