Meet Cynthia

Cynthia Lara spent her weekend exploring the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles with Long Beach Transit’s Museum Express. As a longtime LBT customer, Cynthia jumped at the chance to enjoy a smooth, affordable ride to one of her favorite activities. 

“My whole experience was easy and convenient. The meetup spot was clear, the bus ride was smooth, and the seats were super comfy,” shared Cynthia. 

At the museum, she enjoyed exploring exhibits filled with fossils and learning about animals that roamed the Earth long before us. “I love visiting local museums and learning about history, so when I found out about the Museum Express, I was excited,” she said. “It gives me an easy way to explore new places without the stress or cost of driving.” 

When she’s not riding for fun, Cynthia is helping others do the same. As a recreation leader at the Expo Arts Senior Center, she plays an active role in helping local seniors become more comfortable using public transportation. “I’ve helped guide many seniors through learning how to ride the bus. We’ve even taken field trips together using LBT to explore Long Beach and learn new skills,” she said. “It’s not just about the destination; it’s about building confidence and independence.”
