Meet Nataly

Last year, Nataly Ramirez joined Long Beach Transit (LBT) as a Customer Care Agent. The Customer Care team assist customers by helping them plan trips, providing information about routes and services, and helping themĀ purchase passes at the Transit and Visitor Information Center in Downtown Long Beach and over the phone.Ā 

ā€œThe best part about my job is the people,ā€ said Nataly. ā€œEveryone here is so welcoming, and I enjoy being part of a team that truly wants to help customers. Knowing that I’m supporting my community and helping people get where they need to go always makes my day.ā€Ā

Originally from West Covina, Nataly has grown to love Long Beach and considers it a second home. ā€œI’ve found such a strong sense of community here,ā€ she said. ā€œThe beach, the food, and the people make this city special. After work, I like to relax by the water or grab lunch downtown.ā€Ā 

Before joining LBT, Nataly had never used public transit. Through her role, she’s learned the value of it firsthand. ā€œPublic transit is great because it saves money, time, and helps the environment by reducing cars on the road. I started riding the bus myself so I could better understand and assist our customers.ā€Ā 

Her top advice for new riders is to plan your trip ahead of time. ā€œIt’s easy to feel overwhelmed when learning to ride the bus for the first time,ā€ she said. ā€œPlanning your trip makes everything smoother. I’m teaching my sister to ride the bus to get to school, and now that she knows how to plan her route, she’s confident riding on her own.ā€ Ā 

Outside of work, Nataly stays busy with a variety of activities. She enjoys reading, hiking, and volunteering at her local animal shelter, and she also runs a small business selling home décor.
